Over the weekend, families and friends of Oagile Gailele (13), Lerato Keketsi (13), Busisiwe Makansela (13), Tlotlisang Mokotjo (13), Relebohile Nteo (14) and Katleho Semelo (13) bid farewell to their loved ones for the last time as their bodies were laid to rest.
According to the Free State Education Department, various MECs from different portfolios in the province – along with other senior officials – were deployed to different schools and venues to bid farewell to the dearly departed. Services were held in Welkom, Virginia and Odendaalsrus at the learners’ hometowns.
Addressing the family and community at the funeral of Relebohile Nteo, MEC Makalo Mohale encouraged them by reminding them to find true comfort in the Lord. Nteo’s father was also buried two weeks ago.
“Rest in peace angels, you will forever be in our hearts,” Mohale said.
